What does the new concert season bring?
Dear Friends,
The concert programs of the 22/23 season take us as far as the far north of Scotland, but also to Buster Keaton. Each individual evening should be unique: that is our goal. But also the overall view of all concerts and the inner references between individual works, the paths and tracks between the programs, follow an inner dramaturgy, which we invite you to discover.
We will conclude the Schubert song cycle, which is planned for three years, and continue the Mahler cycle, which began in 2018. After Schumann and Mozart in recent years, this season you will again experience a double symphony concert with different programs on Sunday and Monday: we will perform all four Brahms symphonies. The State Orchestra starts the new season full of verve and energy and is looking forward to old musical friends as well as to new encounters with Noa Wildschut and Joel Sandelson, Esther Dierkes and Thomas Guggeis, Alondra de la Parra and Albrecht Mayer, Nicola Luisotti and Christian Tetzlaff - and to a new work by the Composer in Focus Hèctor Parra.
